Ruby on Rails Developer / Team Lead

hyrd is a startup which is reshaping the way student hiring is done. We are a student career platform taking an innovative approach to make applying easier and better and help students starting their professional career.

We are looking for an experienced Ruby on Rails-developer, with profound knowledge in JavaScript (ideally Vue JS), who appreciates high personal responsibility to lead our web development team. Together with your team, you will take ownership for the hyrd platform, plan and develop new features and bring our platform architecture to the next level.

Your tasks:

• As the team leader for the web development team, you will lead a small, but highly efficient group of developers
• Plan and develop new product features together with the hyrd founders and customers
• Closely collaborate with our python development team to build the best possible product for customers
• Uphold and improve software development standards, tooling and processes

Your profile

• You are highly diligent and ambitious person, eager to deliver outstanding high-quality results
• You are a passionate Ruby code writer and have excellent knowledge of the Rails framework and Ruby ecosystem
• Profound knowledge of JavaScript desired (ideally Vue JS)
• Experience with relational databases (MySQL or PostgreSQL)
• Pragmatic way of working and high team spirit
