Manage & inspire the newly evolving development business unit of an early stage startup

(Y)our Tech Stack

• Ruby on Rails **6.1 with ****Hotwire ?️  (Turbo, Stimulus)
  • We want to upgrade to Rails 7 soon
• AlpineJs for for frontend interactivity
• We’re running Elasticsearch to power our product and category search
• As storage solution, we are using Postgres and Redis
• We are fully running on Scalingo

Responsibilities

• You'll partner with our CTO Leon to create ground-breaking technology.
• Epic definition: Group related development tasks from high-level strategic themes to actionable user stories.
• Write excellent code & resolve support requests on a day-to-day basis
• Monitor development cycles and present these to product team
• Balance speed and quality, with a focus on tangible results.
• Strong initiative in proactive work style

Experience and skills that are important for success in this role

• 3 (+-) years of proven relevant work experience as a (full-stack) software engineer
• Proficiency with Ruby (on Rails), experience with relational databases and SQL
• Experience with agile sprint methodologies
• Curiosity and passion to constantly learn new things; Metarina changes fast, and we need the people who work here to be able to change and learn fast too
• Bonus Points:
  • You’ve mentored teammates on new ways to deepen their technical craft
  • ideally you are comfortable with notion.so

Don’t have experience with some of the skills listed above ??

• No problem — deep experience with any object-oriented language and willingness to learn our tech stack goes a long way.
